Christian Lang
Christian is a graduate of the University of Virginia (B.A., 2004) and NYU Law (J.D., 2010). After law school, he clerked for Judge Charles R. Wilson on the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, and then joined the Mergers and Acquisitions group in the Corporate Department at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York. From 2013 to 2015, he spent a little over two years as a general corporate associate in Davis Polk’s London office, after which he returned to the M&A group in New York before leaving the firm in April of 2016. His practice primarily included advising on public and private M&A transactions, corporate governance matters, and—while in London—capital markets transactions (along with a smattering of litigation-oriented/dispute-resolution, financing and regulatory matters). Before law school, Christian co-founded a non-profit promoting civic education in his home state of Georgia, gave bike tours of the city of Paris and to Monet’s gardens at Giverny, and served as the Director of Online Strategies for Georgia Secretary of State Cathy Cox’s 2006 gubernatorial bid.

Conway Ekpo
Conway was a Biglaw associate for nine years before going in-house on Wall Street. He is currently an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley providing domestic and international legal advice to the firm's global wealth management business. Conway serves as the Secretary of the New York City Bar Association's In-House Counsel Committee, and is also an adjunct law professor teaching a course on New York civil procedure at Rutgers Law School. Conway was the recipient of the New York City Bar Association’s 2016 Diversity & Inclusion Champion Award, the Garden State Bar Association's 2016 Young Lawyer Award, and the Nigerian Lawyers Association’s 2016 Rising Star Award for his work in helping to found an organization for black male Biglaw attorneys in New York City called 1844. The group’s name, "1844," is in reference to the year that the first black person, Macon Bolling Allen, was admitted to practice law in America. The group leverages the power of its collective relationships to help its members, both personally and professionally, and to also give back to their communities through civic engagement and mentorship. Prior to becoming an attorney, Conway was an architectural engineer in his home state of Kansas where he was part of an engineering team that constructed several large commercial buildings. Conway and his wife, Martha, currently reside in Manhattan with their young daughter Langston.
